Choosing a GPS tracker: 5 things to know
OBD or hidden install? 2G or 4G? We answer the most common questions.
1. Installation type
An OBD-II tracker (FMB003) connects in seconds but is easy to spot. A hidden install (FMB920) is better against theft.
2. Network
4G models (FMC920, FMC130) are faster and future-proof, while 2G is cheaper and works well in Georgia.
3. Features you need
Engine immobilization requires a relay; precise fuel data requires CAN or a fuel probe.
4. Cargo and equipment
For trailers choose the battery-powered TAT100.
5. Platform
The tracker is only half of it — ActiviGPS gives you reports, alerts and a mobile app.
